History

Uitgeverij Logistiek developed Rotterdam Transport from two extensive printed reference works, first published in 1993, into a comprehensive multilingual online information and search platform for transport, logistics and the port.

From 1993 to 2015, Uitgeverij Logistiek published the Rotterdam Transport Handbook and Rotterdam Transport Who is Who. Together, these publications contained more than 1,000 pages of information about companies, contacts, transport, logistics, port activities and related services.

In 2015, Rotterdam Transport made the definitive transition from print to online. The website became the central information and search platform and from the outset provided information in Dutch, English and German.

Since then, the website has been developed further almost every year, with new search options, company profiles, business sector and destination indexes, map links, memberships, mobile features and new information pages.

In 2026, another major step follows with a completely renewed responsive website for desktop, tablet and mobile, expanded search options, longer and more easily sortable company lists, and further improved country, port and destination indexes.
