Mid 2008, after a thorough renovation of the yard directly situated next to the port of Ridderkerk, we started with the handling and transport of seacontainers by barges on water. Groenenboom Container-transferium Ridderkerk (GCR) has specifically been set up to cater the increasing congestion of the A15 motorway and the containerterminals on the Maasvlakte.
